This extender ring allows you to mount the 3Com Network Jack in cubicles or walls where the cutout space isn't deep enough. It attaches to the back of the network jack case, extending your cutout space by an additional 0.3 in. Also, tabs on the ring let you mount network jacks in NEMA-WD6 cutouts that do not have predrilled mounting holes.
