With its innovative features and resolution of 1200x1200dpi, the W8200 ensures superior print quality, productive speed and versatile media handling, up to a width of 44". The W8200 operates at exceptional speeds, thanks to Canon's innovative 1 inch print head technology. 7, 680 tiny nozzles distribute ink quickly and evenly, providing A0 output in only 2 minutes (full color printing, fast mode). While many large format machines print in one direction only, Canon's bi-directional printing enables continuous printing at every pass keeping output time to a strict minimum. The 6-color printing process - including one sixth density photo cyan and photo magenta - ensures that colors are printed far more accurately, for enhanced color precision and greater tonal depth. What's more, the multinozzle 1 inch print head enables exact ink delivery of microscopic droplets that are consistent in shape, size and density. With a maximum resolution of 1, 200 x 1, 200 dpi, you can rely on sharp reproduction for the finest details. High capacity, single ink tanks for each color can be changed separately, thus preventing wastage and reducing costs. A tubing system supplies ink continuously to the print head, while Canon's smart chip technology constantly monitors ink levels in each tank. There's an optional automatic media take-up unit to allow continuous printing of a media roll, making unattended and overnight printing a productive possibility. The W8200 provides full network support for PC and Mac platforms via its multi-interface network board. Furthermore, it also supports Canon's NetSpot Suite utility software - enabling integrated management of Canon printers connected to your existing network and increasing productivity for all users. This printer features the ability to support Dye based inks.
